Enjoy the biggest arts event in Geneva at Festival De La Batie
In town for the La Batie festival? Add great memories and style to your trip with the help of Fraser Suites Geneva.
The La Bâtie festival is a 16 day festival that takes place at the end of August and runs on into September. More than 20 venues in Geneva and France will open their doors to performing artists from all around the world. Performers in the art of dance, contemporary music and theatre will be working at various venues across a large geographical area.
As the event is very dispersed, a central location in the Maison communale de Plainpalais opens in the evening and hosts concerts, performances and other music events until the small hours of the morning.
Fraser Suites Geneva is the only place to stay during the biggest arts event in Switzerland due to our great transport links to other parts of the city.
If you’re starting your day early at the festival then we suggest stopping by our Breakfast Cafe at Fraser Suites Geneva. Serving fresh bread, hot morning snacks and much more, you’re spoilt for choice.
After an afternoon sampling what Geneva has to offer, take time out at the Boreal Coffee Shop which is situated close to our residence at Fraser Suites Geneva. Serving great coffee and filled with artistic and like-minded people, it’s a great place to come and recharge the batteries during the afternoon. From our serviced apartments, walk towards Rue Frank-Martin, then right onto Rue Bémont and as the road curves, the road meets Rue de la Confédération with Rue du Stand, where the coffee shop will be on your left hand side at number 60.
As the evening descends on the city it’ll be time for the main event at the previously mentioned Maison communale de Plainpalais. Sample some great shows, DJ’s and drinks offers during the main event. From the Boreal Coffee shop its quick seven minute journey to this venue in a taxi.
At Fraser Suites Geneva we have accommodation to suit guests visiting the city on their own or groups. Check what’s available using the booking tool on this page.
